GFAPY Speed Dating on a Chinese New Year

Well, actually it was not on a Chinese New Year, it is a week before Chinese New Year, but it's good thing that it was moved, so that the new matches that the speed dating made will have time to celebrate Valentine's day, right?

Here's how the successful event looked like--- jam-packed! Everybody looked that they enjoyed the company, not just on their designated table, but in other tables as well.

The event ended with the Valentine King and Queen, with one of our officers winning as queen, Sandra Kho! They won tickets for Valentine's day movie at Shangri-La courtesy of White Hat: Eric Chao.

Thank you for those who took time to come and get their ticket/s, as well as those who sent message to confirm presence on Sunday. This is a great help for us in organizing and grouping the participants.

For participants who have not sent their registration, I have submitted your name/s and dob, but we still need your registration form/s.

And for all who were not able to get their tickets, you can get them on the day itself. Please come early. Ticket releasing starts as early as 11am.

Remaining tickets not claimed by 12nn will be sold on a first come first serve basis, including walk-in participants.

Event shall promptly start at 1pm to help us give you what you came for. Thank you and see you.

Don't sweat, here's how your date will go.

This event is open to all FIL-CHI Singles with the following age group:

Female : ( 18 - 37 yrs old )
Male : ( 21 - 40 yrs old )

We will have 5 age groups. Participants will be seated accordingly by group within their age brackets. Our dress code will be SEMI-FORMAL. Be here at your very best get up! First impression surely LAST!

FOR THOSE NOT FAMILIAR WITH SPEED DATING, HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
1.) In this event, you will be dating an average of 20 boys / girls.
2.) In every round, You are given 4 minutes to talk with your date.
3.) After the time limit, A bell will ring to signal exchange of partners.
4.) After every round, you will tick your score card if you are interested with him/her.
5.) After the game, the scorecards will be tallied to determine your number of matches. (For example, if you tick 8 names, then 4 of them ticks you, then you have 4 matches.)
6.) We will email you your matches contact information after.

Not bad, right? 20 dates in one day. Best foot forward!

GFAPY Valentine Speed Dating on Chinese New Year!

What a coincidence! Our Chinese New Year falls on Valentines Day!

Hmm... For the very first time in GFAPY history, we will have this 2 in 1 event. We can have a MASS SPEED DATING on a Chinese New Year! Cool! Happy and Sweet.

The SPEED DATING GAME will be this event major game. For those who is new to Speed Dating. This is a fun and safe alternative to the typical dating scene. Ever tried blind dating? Wherein within 5 minutes you wanted to escape out. Or tried internet dating whereas you already spend months exchanging photos and emails only to find out that there is no chemistry between the both of you when you met face to face.

The advantage of Speed Dating is that you actually meet and talk face to face within a limited time, usually 5 minutes is enough for you to determine if there is a spark and decide if you like a 2nd date. You avoid those 2-3-hour blind dates, expensive dinners with people whom there is no chemistry with, and the best part of it, you don't date just 1, not even 2, but 20 dates in one night! Woooohoooooo!!!
